Worrying results from a study in young adults. The dangers of overconsumption.
If you like caffeine, watch the amounts you consume. A new study shows that young, healthy people who drink coffee, cola and/or energy drinks all day are at increased risk of developing heart problems over time.
All these drinks contain high levels of stimulants. A new study shows how Those over 400 mg per day, the chance of developing hypertension increases significantly. And they don’t need to consume it every day. Even if done 5 days a week, excessive consumption is harmful.

- 5 energy drinks of 250 ml

According to the researchers, they conducted their research 92 healthy young people aged 18 to 45 years. All subjects completed caffeine consumption questionnaires and underwent a 3-min stress test to assess cardiac function.
19.6% from the participants they said they consumed more than 400 mg daily caffeine. 400 mg is the maximum recommended dose for health maintenance.
Findings
Volunteers who took 400 mg of caffeine daily had significantly increased heart rate and blood pressure. during the test.
But participants who drank more caffeine (600 mg per day) still had faster heart rates and blood pressure. 5 minutes after completing the test.

Hypertension is a strong risk factor for heart disease, chronic kidney disease, stroke, and dementia. In addition, it weakens the heart over time.”.
